Battles 

Las batallas del Lienzosiguen la tradición nahua de representar a los guerreros conquistadores en una posición más alta que la de los conquistados.

Ritual dance

The three dance scenes feature a man from Quauhquechollan playing a drum, and one or more individuals dancing in the presence of local authorities.  Dance was an important activity among Mesoamerican populations.  In theLienzo they appear to be rituals associated with war and death.

Enemy traps

Within the Guatemalan territory there are black holes with sharp vertical stakes inside.  They represent lethal traps used by the Kaqchikel against the invaders, especially those on horseback.
